Job Curtis is Director of Global Equity Income at Janus Henderson Investors, a position he has held since 2006. He has been Portfolio Manager of the City of London Investment Trust since 1991, and is also co-manager of the Global Equity Income and Global Dividend & Income strategies. Job joined Henderson in 1992 following Henderson’s acquisition of Touche Remnant, where he had served as a unit trust and investment trust manager since 1987. Prior to this, he was an assistant fund manager at Cornhill Insurance from 1985 to 1987, and a graduate trainee at Grieveson Grant stockbrokers from 1983 to 1985. Job holds a MA in philosophy, politics, and economics from Oxford University and is an associate member of the Society of Investment Professionals. He has 35 years of financial industry experience.

Simon Gergel

Simon joined AllianzGI (and began managing The Merchants Trust) in 2006 from HSBC Halbis Partners where he managed over £900m in assets. Prior to joining HSBC in 2001, Simon worked for 14 years at Phillips & Drew Fund Management / UBS Asset Management where he was involved in all aspects of UK equity fund management. He graduated in 1987 from Cambridge University with an honours degree in mathematics and is an associate of the UK Society of Investment Professionals.

Daniel Mahony, PhD

Daniel joined Polar Capital to set up the Healthcare team in 2007. Prior to joining Polar Capital, he was head of the European healthcare research team at Morgan Stanley, covering the European biotechnology, medical technology and healthcare services sectors. Previously, Daniel worked in New York for ING Barings Furman Selz following the US biotechnology sector. Before working in the investment field, Daniel worked as a research scientist for seven years with the majority of his time at Schering Plough Corporation in California. Daniel graduated with a BA (1st Class Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford and a PhD in Developmental Biology from the University of Cambridge.

He manages Securities Trust of Scotland, an investment trust with a global equity-income remit, and co-manages the Martin Currie Global Equity Income strategy. Previously, Mark worked at Sarasin & Partners where he constructed and managed a range of income, balanced, growth, and absolute return portfolios and was Head of Equity Income from 2010. Mark started his investment career at NatWest Stockbrokers in 1998 and is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
